I got the 3rd issue of MUZIK Saturday, and it raised quite a few eyebrows
in my camp. I have one of the 20,000(?) ltd. edition vinyl pressings of
ISDN, but Sister Ray lists the album as a 2LP? Does anyone have a double
vinyl version of ISDN? What the hell am I missing(besides the other slab
of vinyl)?
Speaking on MUZIK, the issue I have is fairly decent, covering almost all
the bases, and the cover is ULTRA, my girlfriend couldn't stop glancing
at it. A "lot" more reviews in the Techno(?)/Downtempo(?) sections
would help.
But my real love with this issue was REFRESH YOUR EARS. It more than
helped my R&S trainspotting, and helped other things this weekend as
well...Mantrax-'Scarlet Circus' is awesome, but Mr. Hawtin has already
gone that route. 'Break In Space' by Tournesol was a turn-on for everyone
I played it to, as well 'Kinetic'-Golden Girls, and the
pound4poundhardkoreupyerronson 'Energy Flash'. Oh, nice picture of R&S, too.
Anyone want to part with any A.R.T./Sapho Records releases, let me
know(except ART 6.0)...I'm looking for 'House of Usher' by Aqua Fortis.
Oh, I also need a little help compiling an LP-only record list for
Platipus/Superstition releases, any info will help.
