This is as much of a cultural question as it is a musical question, but I'm curious about good techno artists, producers, and techno labels are out of Scotland. Is there a scene of electronic musicians working together in certain cities? What areas or cities in Scotland are particularily "on" for techno? I'm thinking musicians and record labels as well as underground parties. Or is it like Detroit where (okay, _sometimes_) once the artists get accomplished and well known, they tend always be in other countries? I think Neil Landstrumm (sp?) and Tobias Schmidt are buddies from Scotland, right? Are there any IDM'ers from Scotland here on the list? Speaking with DJ Rolando from UR a couple weeks ago, and he said that he and Mad Mike recently spun a party in Scotland... and I know Claude Young has also spent some time there.
