following the discussion on their releases:
a month ago the Rephlex crew reached Israel (Richard James, Dmx, Mike Dredd and Grant)
and as part of the promotion for their gig they appeared in local radio "alternative"
show ("The edge"), played a few tracks and got interviewed. So the interviewer asked
Grant, there is this influential list on the net, idm, what do you think about it?
"Well, it's all started as a homage to Rich which embarassed him pretty much. Now
I don't know what it is, I think it's some frustrated teenagers who don't have a girlfriend
duscussing, erm... midwest music." Further, he went on about this intelligent tag
being bullshit and that they're going to label their music braindance.
The gig itself was ok, aphex twin being the disappointment (mostly acid stuff), ed dmx
was the surprise (I thought that his cds sucked, but it works much better live) and
mike dredd a deafening experience (people going like, when the fuck his laptop batteries
will run out?).
