In response to a request, I have made a brief review the remixes of 'Journey' by
the Gentle People (Rephlex).
This is the only release I have by this group or artist, and it is like nothing
I have heard of before. One side has two remixes (I have not heard the original)
by the Gentle People. The first has no rhythmic structure but is a strange piece
with a little bassy loop every now and then and then some real singers start
singing for no aparrent reason. I love this track as well as the rest of this
single. The other mix on this side is more rhythmic and the Aphex Twin remix on
the other side is much more melodic, but sounds very different to anything else
I have heard him do.
Altogether well worth buying if you listen to it without expecting a perticular
style of music.
