completely false. i just got off the phone with mike kandel and he says all the vocals in cantamilla are by a cuban woman, speaking spanish. /jon

not completely. i meant I knew they weren't vocals from someone who is Spanish or Mexican because of the second set of lyrics. Cuban is a possibility, but i'm still in disbelief that it's a woman (unless they've been altered in some way). since you went through the trouble of asking- what's the original source? (which is the original question that started this whole thing)

you're just going to have to take my (his) word for it. he says "cuban woman speaking spanish", i report what he tells me. it sounds like a woman to me, albeit an elderly one...
