i've just relistened to track fourteen of isdn.
my thoughts:
in the beginning, the guitar tends to be really fluid, kind of acquatic,
and really relaxing.. the bass synth kind of drives it along until it
moves into some weirded out slowness, where the dischordant guitar bit
tends to allow for a really kuhl sonic feel. it's not really dissonant
in the sense that it's actually used for ambience, and is complimented by
a bunch of seagulls, a little synth, and a lovely little cold drone.
aweseome, but i don't think it's their best track. the two parts (the
relaxing/weirded out) don't necessarily flow into each other well.
perhaps they would have worked better as two seperate songs. mho.
