On (NPR's African music show) "Afropop Worldwide" tonight I
caught:
- General Levy & Shy FX's "Incredible"
- DJ Massive's "Jungle Massive"
- some Bhangra-jungle thang
- Scan 7's "21st Century"
- Domina's "Domina" (the Maurizio mix, no less)
- Underground Sound of Lisbon's "Dance With Me"
- DJ Danny's "Big Bottom"
- Massive Attack
- lame-o Terence Trent D'arby song
- and some acid jazz
It was worth it to just to hear Josh say, "as you may have
noticed, this music is more oriented towards the producer than the
performer" in his inimitable African accent. It sounded like it was an
effort on his part to say something nice about the harsh sounds
emanating from the speakers.
And Maurizio is _sooooo_ African, lemme tell you.
