*** funny you should ask. here i am listening to it.havent listened to it
for quite a while. YES it is Juan with Jon 5 and 3070.Produced by
Juan Atkins & Richard Davis (3070).Well...as to whether its any good,
i think its important to place yourself in the time of release, then
you can appreciate that its deep electronic electro/pop kinda stuff.
i think it was released around 84/85.Its not what i call an essential
purchase but i didnt listen to it before i bought so i guess its sort of
a dud.....only sort of. Clear is classic electro but so is so much
other stuff. Its just that Juan has produced so many gems since then its
a collectable. I personally get "chubby" over "Technocity". Not the
remix, the original.Unfortunately its not on the cd.Here is the track
listing & duration.
1.Clear 4:52 electro
2.R-9 5:14 electro pop
3.Cosmic Cars 4:25 electro pop
4.Enter 5:37 electro pop
5.Alleys of your mind 3:31 elecrto pop
6.Industrial Lies 6:14 electro pop
7.The Line 5:01 electro pop
8.Cosmic Raindance 4:00 electro
9.El Salvador 4:47 electro
*** Most of the tracks have vocals and arent really danceable or funky.
(no i dont believe this is a criteria for good music i'm just trying
to give a clear picture of what its like).most tracks @ 60/70 BPM.
HOWEVER...the sounds ARE funky and some are definitely Tangerine
Dream influenced.mmmmmmmm yummy harmonics.
*** Overall i strongly suggest you listen B4 you buy.
Hope this helps.
