I unfortunately missed the Web action (having gone out) but I managed to
get my flatmate to tape (nearly) the whole thing. I missed about the
first couple of minutes and little bits where the tapes needed turning
or changing but apart from that, if anybody wants copies, just send me
a couple of hours worth of audio tape (*not* DAT) and I'll clone 'em.
As for the show itself - as Ash said, it got better. A lot better; a bit
sad really that they kept interrupting it to tell us that we were listening
to FSOL on Pete Tong's Essential Mix - duh; don't they thing we know that -
and read the news at 1am but the general feel of the set was of Messrs
Cobain and Dougans let loose in a second-hand record shop with two decks
and a bunch of synths and told to have fun. Most enjoyable in a slightly
cut-up off-the-wall way. As for the tracklist published - it didn't do
what they played credit by half.
Sorry about the incoherence of this post - I'm not really in the flu-view
class when it comes to writing about what I like about music. As I said, if
you want to hear it and make your own decisions, let me know.
