I bought plenty of vinyl before CDs were prevalent; anyone who shared that experience would have to admit that defective-out-of-the-sleeve LPs (cf. SAW II) were a *lot* more common then than defective-out-of-the-jewel-box CDs are now. Laz

I _still_ buy plenty of Vinyl, and I think that the quality of vinyl has probably got worse since the days of CD taking over, although this is a subjective statement and not borne out of any statistical analysis. J ^

I appreciate that CDs have a very low defective frequency, all I was saying is that vinyl isn't as bad as people paint it. I don't want to compare the two as they are completely different ways of storing music. Lots of love Tim One of the least common things in the world today is: common sense.
