Anyone? I have ordered this, but have not yet hear it. I've seen the name mentioned by many recently so I ordered it on reputation alone. The word it four wonderfully wierd solid techno tracks from the Ifach boys. I think the Ifach boys are members of Black Dog or, at least, Black Dog have released a number of side projects from this small label. I'll give a review when I receive it later this week. -->-Lance--- mclance@ix.nwtcom.com

The Ifach label is owned by Peter "Baby" Ford and Mark Broom (who also owns the Pure Plastic label). Andy & Ed from Black Dog (RIP) had a hand in the Pure Plastic 003 release and also apparently helped with the Baird Remo EP on Ifach. The new Pure Plastic (004) got a spanking review in Melody Maker; Steve Pickton(?) the Stasis guy helps out on this one. Andy also has a hand in the Kushti _Freestyle_ release on Octopus, which is supposed to be salsa-jungle or something; could be good. Looking forward to the review. || [CiM] || u9323899@sys.uea.ac.uk || http://www.sys.uea.ac.uk/~u9323899/

Speaking of the Maker...their review of the new Nine Inch Nails <yuck> remix album mentions Aphex himself coming through with a reworking of "At The Heart Of It All". Yes, I'm being completely serious. Anyone heard it yet?

I'm *really* interested in hearing this. If anyone on the list happens to procure a copy, review at once! :) - Matthew "I grew up thinking that techno music is actually something that you can't imagine. That is techno at its best. If you hear something that you'd never expect to hear - that's techno. If you hear something that kind of sounds like you've heard it before, then it's not techno." - Jeff Mills

I just got this. As you said, good solid techno beats, with the side order of house, which should please the IDM and Detroit fans alike. But about this Black Dog connection I'd like to hear more... BTW, what's the opinion on the Tresor 3 collection among the IDM people? I just purchased the double vinyl version, a bargain at 65 FMK (c. $ 10)! And I think it has just started to grown on me: very good minimal techno stuff with Dan Bell, Jeff Mills, Blake Baxter, Robert Hood, et al. :)
