today's brain-meltingly wonderful track is: Republica - Out Of This World (Chemical Brothers mix) Hard, funky, chunky, wonderful. Yes, it has their typical insane breakdown/buildup but man, when you've got a style this classic, you work that sucker. Great sounds, too. There's a wonderful groovin' hip hop techno bit that sounds like a cross between Public Enemy and Underground Resistance. Fuck yeah!! Jon Drukman jsd@cyborganic.com I can tell you're cool because your water costs more than your beer.

right on! i've been wondering about this one... i think we can all agree about the formulaic nature of the chemical brothers (although i was listening to a bunch of their older remixes and stuff and it sounds a *bit* different..seems they're moving to a more anthemic style for every track....but hey, i'm not complaining. :). Does anyone have some sort of remix-ography for them? i've been wondering... mikebee

Ummm, there's one of Swordfish (the oldest one I have, I think), and I can see the record in my mind, and the name of the label starts with a 'P' but I can't remember what it is. Joe (:Joe Rice:_____________:tic-tac@ultima.org:_____________:ambient@netcom.com:) (:"Oh, the turntables are his instruments!" :) (:"But I can't tell what sound that record is making!" :) (:"I know! He puts them on and off and you never know! I've never seen :) (: anything like it!" :)
