'My Yellow Wise Rug' by Luke Slater's 7th Plain is probably my favourite album
because of the complexity of the tracks. The first track on the album starts out
with a quiet background noise, voices echo in the distance, more atmospheric
noises and then the usual 7th Plain style rhythm kicks in. I don't mean that we
have heard it before but you can recognise it's Luke. The track builds up with
highly reverberated little flutters on his keyboards and just sounds totally
amazing.
This music is definately to chill out to. Just sitting and listening to the
music with a blank mind is the best way to listen. It fills you with awe and
once you start listening, you have to finish the album off. The music might take
getting used to but as it says on the cover, 'If you can't find it, listen
harder' said the yellow wise rug. It even contains a stereogram poster so you
can get even more tripped-out while listening.
