Have really been into this _Throbbing Pouch_ CD and was wondering if someone could point out some other IDM-ish style hip-hop/funk/electro, etc, etc... PS: Got the _Headz_ comp too.

Definately check out DJ Shadow - "What does your soul look like" EP (Mo'Wax) It's totally smooth, out-there funk. Brilliant! -John A. Rickman -jknee@gwis2.circ.gwu.edu

*and* the UNKLE The Time Has Come ep (w/Portishead, Howie B. and Plaid mixes - all completely essential imo), Massive Attack "Karmacoma" remix ep (w/ UNKLE and Portishead remixes amongst others), Sabres of Paradise "Versus" ep (just out but *completely* essential with remixes by Depth Charge, the (dust) Chemical Brothers, LFO, Nightmares on Wax and In The Nursery (!), Palmskin PRoductions "the beast" ep (which my mailbox is awaiting) w/ global communication and autechre remixes, "Ninja Cuts" comp on Ninjatune....i could go on and on and on..:D mikebee

Though maybe not totally IDM, and more jazzy (space jazz that is), I'd try some of the Ninja Tunes releases, e.g. 9 Lazy 9 and some wonderful compilations. The NinjaCuts compilation has some very spacey stuff from ColdCut, really good. Throbbin Pouch though has to be one of the best stuff released this year. The CD and the At Mos CD are just great.
