Since Rolling Stone, Spin and Circus are a complete joke, can anyone suggest a good source for IDM reviews, info, tours, etc.?? I'm thinking magazines. This list and the "we only update once a year" Hyperreal pages are my only source of information on good music. HAHA!! My internet access was supposed to run out at midnight yesterday...good thing my universtity is a little disorganized. Touch wood. DAVE

To the best of my knowledge, there is NO physical magazine devoted to IDM. I am trying my best to get a monthly together of IDM-type music along with purist early Detroit techno/electro... Your only hope is the internet at the moment, my friend. But check out Surreal Sound in the Netherlands(lowlands@xs4all.nl) or e-mail Record Time in Detroit(recordtime@aol.com) for little mini-mags of IDM. Also check out The Fractured Mirror in the UK. Agreed, but there is a new magazine coming out in the UK in a few weeks called _Musik_ (sp?). It looks pretty promising, finishing off what DJ/Mixmag/et al start but inevitably trail off into lame handbag reviews. Help is near. Launching in the UK in 2 weeks is MUZIK, a new monthly magazine devoted *only* to electronic music, and with a bend towards more IDM-style and not so much stuff like other publications like DJ or MixMag would have. I got a laugh seeing the ad in the NME a couple of weeks ago : "Jungle - Taking America By Storm" - judging from the Breaks list it has taken on America for the last year at least :-). Oh well...
