Hi Lowlanders,
Why is techno in Holland so under-appreciated (is this English?)
I mean if I want to go out and I want to hear music I like and if
everything should be right I could choose every weekend where I can
go to.. but.. This seems not be able here in Holland.. Maybe I have
a too glorious look at the UK but there are a lot more people into
'real' music...
Let's keep it simple:
Why does, from the people here in Holland who love 'house', why does
50% like bum' bum' hardcore and 45% is into snobbish club and why is
only 5% (or less) in, what I call _real_ electronic music.. As I look
to other countries it's a bit different..
And why is in Holland (which is so-called 'liberal and free-minded
etc..') the whole 'house-scene' just splitted into two kinds of
music? I know that there are a lot of people who like what 'most'
people like, but that can't be the only reason...
There's even not a 'techno'club here in Holland! (like e.g. F.U.S.E.
in Belgium, I've never been there but they sometime have nice DJ's
and artists performing..)..
And as far I've heard even the distributors are seem not to do any
work to get real _nice_ import (cause they sell only five in
Holland...) Well, Phoq U!
I'm not saying there nothing is happening here in Holland (I've been
twice to Speedy/Sensurreal/Human Beings, and both times were really
nice, with a lot of nice people), but what happens after this?
.. Keep the faith... Peel Seamus
(but I'll also take a Campingflight to the Lowlands in August.. Anyone
know what will be on stage there?)
