Juslike I only just posted the message and haven't even got it bounced back to me from IDM. Anyway the story is this... RED FRIDAY is probably the only chilled/IDM project in South Africa. We've been making original underground music for several years now. Still no record deal and still not enough money to press our own or even get a 'decent' studio recording. RED FRIDAY have been playing live around the campus city of PieterMaritzBurg in Kwa-ZuluNatal and and the city of Durban for about 3 years now although we have been musically active for about 6 years. Favorite (not!) venues have been the Basement at P.M.B. University, clubs such as Millers, The Rift (Durban), Milos, The Plaka Taverna, Natal Technikon Durban. The music is IDM and very South African. The equipment RED FRIDAY use is... Yamaha TG55 Yamaha DX100 Yamaha TX81Z Yamaha SY1 Korg Poly61 Korg MS20 Korg SD100 Analog Delay Roland Phase Shifter Roland CR8000 Roland TB303 Casio RZ1 Ibanez DM1000 Digital Delay IBM 486 with Cakewalk 4.0 various other live instruments from bass to geetar to found tapes (no sampler) of fave politicians and preachers... If you are interested in receiving a tape of RED FRIDAY's music then please send me your snail mail address plus a cheque or International money order made out to me for a total of 5 U.K. pounds or 25 South African Rands or 10 U.S. Dollars to cover postage/packaging and tape expenses.
