PHIL WOLSTENHOLME FAQ
-- ASTONISHING COMPUTER GRAPHICS FROM SHEFFIELD --
Q) How old are you?
A) I am 31.58 years old.
Q) When did you get Amiga (or other Computers)?
A) I bought my first Amiga in 1988, a 500 with 1MB of memory
and one disk drive...
Q) Would you tell me your Amiga Configuration?
A) My present Amiga configuration is a 68040 33 Mhz 2000, with
22MB of memory, 1GB hard drive, IV24 video board and external
optical drive with 3.5GB of storage. Oh, and a laser printer.
Q) When did you start computer graphics (or Art) carrier?
A) I started computer graphics the day I bought the Amiga.
I completed my degree course in Fine Art in 1986, specialising
in photography, althougth I also worked on video, sound and live
performance projects with a multimedia group called Fabricata
Illuminata.
Q) How did you learn to Imagine and some computer works?
A) I learnt Imagine the same way I learnt everything in computer
graphics; switching it on and playing with it (without a manual
either, although I soon got one!). I use Imagine exclusivery for
my 3D work, although I am keeping a close eye on Lightwave...
Q) Are you going to make computer graphics in the future?
A) I am definitery going to produce computer graphics in the future;
I have an old friend who is one of the top graphics programmers
in the world, currently in San Francisco working on SGI.
We are planning eventually to work together, with him writing
the software, and myself (and others, hopefully) producing the
animation. This would preferably for HDTV or cinema release.
There are so many plans to make, I hardly know where to start!
Obviously I hope the Warpvision video does well in Japan, and
this may dictate what happens in the next year.
I am very optimistic for the future!
