I posted a while ago that I recorded an interview I did with Youth a
while back (Nov '94) and never got back to anybody about my typing it
up. Well, I'm not quite finished, still (tsk tsk I know), but anyone
that wants to send me a tape+$0.75 (or $2 for a tape+postage) can have a
copy. Otherwise I'm slowly typing it up. It is over a half-hour long
(!!!!!) and we talk about the net, analog synths, the beginning of
Killing Joke, Orb, nanotechnology, Oregon, trends, horticulture,
interesting stuff, plus the first ten minutes are actually talking with
Gordie, the going-on-15-years-now guitarist for Killing Joke.
I just want to diseminate the recording for folks' entertainment and such.
The reason I bring this up is that I had never heard of the Dragonfly
label until Youth dug up and gave me a new Order Odonta from the tour bus
as our conversation hit IDM-stuff.
I told him about Terrace & Florence and other New Electronica label stuff
'cause he started diss'in' cheap digital synths and I rebutted about
there being some nice digital sounds in that stuff. -- Stephen, what
*do* you use?? (it would be funny if it was all analog after all ;-) )
