I should second the good word on UMM on U-Trax. Teep hit all of the nails on their collective head. Nails are that way, you know. Many points, one head. Anyway...buy the record, yes. "8 Minutes" doesn't stack up to the TCM tracks I know from Planet E, but the other two are as *fine* or better, and that's saying a *lot* b/c I love the E ep! Hey...you know I only use asterisks when I'm being *damn* earnest!!! The Connection Machine... ...are gonna be big stuff - or they should be - watch out y'all! Lush and funky in a fresh, unique way...doesn't always feel like "dance music" but somehow keeps me moving regardless...it is what you make it... I'm gushing! Lastly but not leastly, check the All-Around Office Machine track. Good stuff...play often. Let's just hope THINKING MACHINES leaves them alone! ;-) Great job Natasja and Jeroen! -morgan geist PS: This record wins the award for "Thickest, Blackest Piece of Plastic." I want to eat it with jam!

Since Thinking Machines, Inc. out of Cambridge, MA went out of business late last year, they shouldn't have any problem w/ copyright.. I would think. I also want to make a public apology on the artwork; when I modeled it, I only had access to the picture of the work of Karl Sims in Wired a few months back and the "bars" are actually rows of LEDs, and in that particular picture, all of the LEDs were lit (they show the processing power; the more light, the more power)... I should have made them more like LEDs... but I think you get the idea. Hopefully, Carl will ask me about getting the CD artwork done soon; it looks so much better in full color.... ;] todd -- todd sines --------------------------------------------------------------------------- tsines@cgrg.ohio-state.edu sines.3@osu.edu sines@zn.com sines@hyperreal.com .xtrak * ARS * ELE MENT * Enhanced * ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
