I don't think Semantic Spaces was very good either, but Bill and Rhys
have put out a few good things. First off, I have to agree that the
first Intermix album is an absolute jam. It's great, if you like a lot
of samples, industrial/trance sound and massive bass.
Delerium has put out two good albums called Spheres I and II. They sound
like the Orb meets FLA meets Banco de Gaia (a little bit). These albums
can best be described as having a lot of good samples mixed with a lot of
ho-hum samples and put over some pretty cool space music/dub lines. Very
unusual, to say the least. Sounds like ambient reggae from outer space.
Granted they do sound cold at times, but some of those tracks are nothing
short of excellent. FLA's a very hit and miss band (with more misses
lately), but I liked spheres I&II.
