Yes, although it were different people. I have said earlier, that inmy
opnion, Derrick is an excellent producer, with an overwhelming influence on
whoever worked for him on his label. Often, records by the same artists on
other labels, dont come near to the quality and purism their stuff has on
transmat. I see Derrick as a DJ, producer and artist, and have a great deal
of respect for, whether he works with other people or not. Every artist has
his or her own way of working, and this is Derrick's way. On some of his
earlier records, he worked with Thomas Barnett (Nude photo, the dance), and
later he worked with Kevin saunderson, Darryl Wynn (R-Tyme), Carl Craig
(Drama), some guy who's name I forgot (shame on me) on Strings. A lot of
edits on his records were done by a guy called Stoney, and there are more
names i guess...
I think most of the artists, that worked with Derrick, have taken their
place in history and present. The most gifted of them are strong enough to
continue on their own, others only worked in combination with Derrick and
haven't done much since.
