I'm trying to track down an album by the band called Ariel, who released two singles "Rollercoaster" and "Let It Slide" a year or two ago. Fairly good housey techno, I guess, with female vocals. "Rollercoaster" was on deConstruction; I think the band is Dutch. They supposedly put out one or more albums - does anyone know where I can find one? Or could someone get it for me? As swap material/incentive, let me again offer the Japanese Nav Katze remix CD that I mentioned in my unsuccessful search for Objets D'ART. It's got remixes of the Japanese band Nav Katze done by Ultramarine, Aphex, Black Dog and Reload/GC. Thanks for any info! ...James p.s. Clear records put out only 4000 copies of the Jedi Knights single??? How is an ordinary fellow like me in the US ever supposed get his hands on it??? :(

to clarify a few points, Ariel no longer exist. They never released an album. They are not Dutch. In fact Ariel were students here at Manchester University, studying economics I beleive, round about the same time as Justin Robertson and Tim Wright(GERM) were here also. After Ariel split two of the members went on to become the Dust Brothers, whom I am sure you have heard of. A brief discog of Ariel :- Sea of Beats - 12" (Eastern Bloc) Club Bocadillo - 12" (white label) Rollercoaster (Flying remix) - 12" (Echo Logic) Mustn't Grumble 12" Rollercoaster (Justin Robertson remix) - 12" (De Consruction) Let it Slide - 12" (De Construction) I can't be bothered to remember dates. Guy Francis - Manchester University.

Whao!!! Wait a second.. Most techno releases only come in packs of 500 to 2000.. 4000 is by no means a small pressing!! You have to get perspective on this.. Alot of releases only get to the U.S. in numbers like 40 or 50.. Because alot of these british super-labels seem to be financially secure, they really distort your perspective on it all..
