I just saw Psychic TV perform fairly recently, it was just Gennesis and
some tall skinny dude on keyboards. It was more of a performance art
type of deal, but at the end of the show.....the bass kicked in...that
tall skinny guy did some sort of djing (I think it was on DAT)...anyone
know who this guy is? Better yet anyone know what type of music he was
playing? My guess would be it was some Psychic TV related project. The
music was acidy with some real interesting beats (some funky) lots of
samples and different sounds from other sources besides the 303. It was
up in the 130-140 range, but it didn't sound like most of the shit coming
out lately. I should have asked the guy, but I didn't. Here is a more
resonable question, that has more than a snowballs chance in hell of
being answered. There is a record by Edden 224 called Holocaustic Soda
on TOPY, is there some other shit like this or other records by these
guys? Where is this shit coming from? It is frusturating to try to find
the killer style of tracks i want while spending fuckloads of dollars,
then to go out and hear some guy play all this shit that is right on the
mark for what i want to hear, and then never hear this shit anywhere.
Can someone help a poor son of a bitch find some info? (Actually my
mother is quite a nice lady, hope she doesn't find out I called her a
bitch, she might not let me breastfeed anymore, but thats another
story.)
