I just traded a friend for this and was wondering some things. I'm sure it is the Warp re-issue, because it has the new sleeve on i. Recently I was talking to a local Warp collector (and record store owner) about the original pressing. He swears thet the original is exactly the same, label color and all and that the only visible difference is the sleeve. I thought I rememberred seeing a friend of mine spinning a copy with a purple label (or wait, it might have been a white label in a purple sleeve). Anyway does anyone know how to tell the vinyl apart from the two different issues? It seems if they are the same, someone could just switch the sleeves and sell it off as an original pressing. I know this is rather train spotlike for me, but I was curious. Plus the store owner/collector I mentioned said he might have a lead on an original pressing which would be nice for my collection. I'd like to know how to definitely spot it. One more related thing. Does anyone have the Ozone copy of DJ Mink - Hey Can You Relate? I'd like to find a copy of it and any other Ozone releases. So if anyone in the UK sees any Ozone tracks, I am trying to find more stuff and not that many people have heard of the label. Is anyone interested in compiling a discog for Ozone? Greg 303? Anyone? -robert ______________________________________________*AudioElectronic*_____ "If BOTH the SAW and the PULSE switches are on, sonic explorers \ then both sawtooth and pulse waves are selected. \ This combination creates an extremely fat sound." Warp have released single 12"s with quite few different covers... ie I've seen 3 different covers for LFO - LFO. What usually happens (presumably) is when they run out of original artworked covers they stick the next run of vinyl in their 'standard' cover, which is of course the famous WARP purple (or the silver and yellow one). Then they just stick a sticky label on with the artist name etc. This must be a lot cheaper that printing off loads of new art work. What this means is that it's bloody difficult to tell what's what. But who gives a toss. The vinyl will be identical no matter what the cover and that's the bit that counts. So to sumarise, if it's got lot's of fancy artwork on the cover it's probably an original, if it's in a purple sleeve it still might be original, but could be a reprint. Actually this is really complete bollocks 'cos LFO came out in a purple cover with a sticky label first, and then when it got famous it got it's nice black and white LFO logo'd cover. And of course promos have all kinds of covers... I don't want to preach, but buy the vinyl inside, not the cover... Having said that I'd kill for an original set of Transmat's :) :)

Sorry, I don't really know enough about Ozone (I only have 1 of their records). And I have my WARP, Transmat and +8 (new version soon, (honest)) -plug, plug - discogs to maintain... greg 3 0 3
