You make his comment sound like part of some insidious plot, Lazlo. The man just doesn't think that the Beasties fit into the prevalent bought-n-sold, give-the-black-man-the-WORST-image-possible gagsta scene. And I second that. Rap is one of their ingredients, but I too would honestly hesitate to broadly label their stuff 'rap'. Brad.
