it's track B2 from the Parasight 12" Rising High Records (rsn 72) 1983. i found a copy in one of those far off places. along with tuff little unit and housefly. happy days!

there is certainly enough BDP musical diversity to support the theory. as well there are certainly BDP themes, epic melodies, crazy breaks, break downs, wind ups, space outs, and general dub mayhemmehyam, that could be attributable to individuals. someone out there knows. the rising high material, as you might suspect, is heads up tempo techno (read: no breaky drum loops, just breaking drum boxes) trance 4's with about seven extra percussive hits and one good acid wiggle inbetween. it's experimental. B2 is my new friend. Teep

Well, apart from the Balil 12" theres an old Rising High 12" ("The Black Dog Productions EP") which was the first thing I heard by them and it blew me away. The track "Flux" on that EP is by Balil isnt it? and the second mix is by Balil & Arno... Digging out that 12 brings back memories of when I was just getting into techno... cool! Also theres Balil stuff on ART CD (the 4th one) with tracks like "Choke and Fly" and "Whirling of Spirits" (some of the best BDP stuff around). Check the CD if you can find it!

Yes but its really hard to define. My favourite guises are Atypic and Balil, the Balil stuff is quite futuristic and sometimes emotional (?) and, for god knows what reason, the Atypic stuff seems to reflect their fascination with ancient Roman/Greek civilisations... ?
