Umm...not too sure whether we're talking about precisely the same things here, but Warp put out Peel Sessions CDs recently for BoC, Black Dog, Plaid, and Autechre. They all have covers which are Yves Klein-type blocks of colour. Ae is grey, Boc is green, Plaid is yellow, and the Dog CD is purple. The Black Dog CD has four tracks ( I think ) one of which I remember as being Psilocosyin (sp?) from the Spanners album. The Boc CD I have - it's fantastic, if you like BoC. I haven't heard the others though. However, I know that Autechre have done at *least* one other Peel Session broadcast in the autumn of last year, which wasn't the one released on the grey CD. The unreleased Peel Session dating from 1999 (what a well constructed sentence) was all EP7 style stuff, as far as I can remember from the broadcast. All I can remember about it is that one track was called "18 Headaches". Pretty apt ;-) I think the Ae Peel CD out now on Warp is Amber/Chiastic Slide era stuff, but to be honest all I know of Ae is Incunabula and EP7...so I guess I'm perhaps not the best judge. www.warp-net.com has all of the Peel CDs for 4 pounds a time. Cheers. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
