Ahh, but Greg, how many are you attending? We have a rave nearly every
weekend here now, but I never bother to go. I think the gist of the
"death" idea is that they're not new nor exciting anymore. It doesn't
matter how many of them are being advertised, it matters how many of them
are quality events that are unique to the rest.
Doc Martin is touring with Dee Lite for hell's sake. How underground is
that? The whole idea of the rave was the fact that they were illicit,
underground, and fantabulously fun. I never see that anymore. In short,
the idea is dead. Mixmaster Morris/Pete Namlook in SF was the last time I
enjoyed a new idea.
