Not really IDM, but I just though I would add my $.02........ For TRULY original percussion sounds with a VERY IDM slant to them, try the Kawai xd-5. Not only is it GREAT but it was discontinued by Kawai so it can be bought at VERY low prices compared to other drum modules. I know alot of artists (including myself) who swear by them.
