i haven't heard the new EE stuff, but imho bill nelson is far too ignored
by ambient listeners. In fact, i don't have the discs in front of me to be
specific, but i have heard some of his work from the eighties which i could
swear have been ripped off by some modern musicians.
also, has anyone noticed how much "#19" by Aphex Twin (found on Excursions
in Ambience 3 and the UK vinyl version of SAW II) sounds alot like the
fourth or fifth track on Eno's "Apollo" disc? unfortunately i don't have
the apollo disc here either (i'm on vacation :) but i think if you are
familiar with the tracks you'll see what i mean. Funny because of the kinds
of things that it seems Eno and RDJ say about each other.
Or maybe i'm just hearing things from another plane again......
