Yes, be *very* careful when signing licenses/contracts that involve
publishing. I was handed a contract that a)allowed the record company to
register the copyright to *my* work in *their* name, b)gave them the
publishing rights for *subsequent* compositions (not covered by the
license!), yet still contained a paragraph stating that I retain all my
rights to the composition. This is no help, considering that all the
rights that matter were in their control, exclusively and
indefinitely. No thank you.
