It's post-Cure, but I like it better than what I've heard off Looks Or The
Lifestyle (which I never picked up). The sampling is still there but
much, much, subtler, and there's acres of fat sloppy shit going on in the
background. You have to listen *through* the guitars to hear it, but
once you're there, it pops out at you.
The singles so far are a little more "surface" than the album as a whole
-- "Cape Connection", "Everything's Cool" and "Babylon" are all killer,
though. Maybe I should go back and reassess Looks.
