Well, I spent $25 on it as an import, and am still glad that I did (it came out months later domestically; besides, the artwork is better). Although I was a little underwhelmed at first, the more I listened to it, the more it amazed me. The bass line from Safe from harm is *incredible*. The singles are great. There's only one song I'm not too keen on (One Love). I absolutely love it. It reminds me of a downbeat version of Soul II Soul (some of them used to be in a group w/ Nellee Hooper). They're from Bristol, England (home of Mark Stewart, Gary Clail, Smith & Mighty, and Reborn). Shara Nelson is on 4 cuts, doing a good job on all. I've heard that her album is kind of dodgy. It's a shame. She's been around for years (mostly Adrian Sherwood stuff). In a similar vein, check out the Aftermath single from Tricky (aka Tricky Kid), who is on Blue Lines. Pretty similar, but not as smooth, kind of chunky & weird, but very cool. TK
