Yes, but we aren't made of money either. I for one would am happy to buy,
for instance, 'The Conversation' on Instinct rather than R&S, Orbital on
FFRR US rather than Internal, and 'Pomme Fritz' on Island US rather than
UK. And I'd be a fool not to.
Take Infonet - I don't regret having bought 'Guidance,' 'A Collection of
Short Stories' and 'Usability Now,' but would I feel better if I'd paid
~$40 rather than ~$60 for them. And I would feel better if I could've gone
a few blocks to the nearest store and bought them, instead of having had to
drive across town (and mail order one, in fact). And maybe, just maybe,
if some US label had struck a licensing deal with them, Creation wouldn't
have pulled the plug on Infonet, and I could look forward to enjoying
more of their releases.
