We're at the half way point of 1994, and here are my top picks thus far in alphabetical order. Yes, some of these came out at the end of 1993, but I didn't get them until this year. Autechre - _Incunabula_ (TVT 7210) The second best release in the first AI series after Black Dog Productions. FSOL - _Lifeforms_ (ASW 6113-2) The best part of this purchase was the fact I got it for $11.99 at Tower on the day it came out. They upped it to $14.99 the next day. Hannant, Beaumont -_Basic Data Manipulations Tastes & Textures Vol.2_ (GPR CD2) See Greg's review of this excellent CD. Kirk, Richard - _Virtual State_ (Warp CD19) No explanation necessary. Kokotsu - _Tournesol_ (Apollo AMB 4931) No idea who Tommy Gee is, but this CD kicks. The majestic "Electric Church" will elevate you over 17 minutes. The drum beats on "Cathedral" and "Orange Planet" remind me of Kenny Larkin. Namlook, Pete - _Air 2_ (AW003) Even better than the first _Air_. I enjoy this best on headphones. Namlook/Laswell - _Psychonavigation_ (Fax PW13) Better than I expected. Reload - _A Collection of Short Stories_ (Infonet INF4) Finally tracked this down, and it was well worth the wait. I enjoy this better than ABIII. Zenith - _Zenith_ (Fax PS 08/48) Borders on new age music, but is worth it for the last track "Aura" which reminds me of Hafler Trio's _Mastery of Money_ in the beginning. 8080808080808080808080808080808080808080808080808080808080808 8 Paul 0 Namlook 0 0 Rafanello 8 Kirk James 8 8 0 Leiner Fehlmann 0 8 808state@delphi.com 8 Jenssen Rich 8 0 0 Schulze 0 8080808080808080808080808080808080808080808080808080808080808
