I was wondering...who is it thats in charge of selecting the
insipid little promotional comments that they put on those stickers on
the plastic around the cds that would otherwise be incredibly pleasing
all the way around?
I purchased the FSOL lifeforms the other day....and i was reading
the little sticker on the cover...now...i dont know what it said in your
part of the world...but on the copy I got it said something like this...
"The morphing effects of 'Terminator 2' combined with the virtual
reality of 'Lawnmower Man' set to electronic sounsomething...blah
blah...make you wet your pants...blah blah......"
I really didnt get past the first two horrible analogies enough to recall
the rest of the idiotic quote...
First of all NO IT ISNT!!!
Secondly...why would these feebs seek to ruin the reputation of the cd by
relating it to such pop culture crapola flicks?
Terminator 2 had good effects, yes...but the overall sensitivity and
profundity of the storyline did not exist...
Lawwnmower Man wasnt even a story...it was some twisted psychotic vision
on the part of Steven King and cohorts...and the anime within was medium
quality and untrue in regards to V.R. in the first place...
So we are to expect such garbage from FSOL...along the lines of these
hollywood make-money-fast schemes...
i certainly disagree...
and i think FSOL should carefullt read the comments the record company
decides to put on their jackets...
give me a few more days to continually liste to 'lifelorms' and ill write
something a bit more poetic and fitting for the rerelease...pro bono at
that...
anyway...i recommend the disc...
just ignore the silly ad-man-posturing on the jacket..
