Question: How come that from what I've seen the majority of what's
played at raves or clubs, is not what i would consider IDM. It seems to me
that there's a difference between truly dancable music and somthing more
at dance music for listening.
I'm not saying this is the rule, but for instance, last night I heard the
Hardkiss Bros. Spin. And the music was great to dance to (and they threw
in some orbital...so again I'm generalizing) - but for the most part, the
music was mainly percussive, with a bass line. I don't consider that
IDM. I danced - quite a bit, but I can never envision sitting down and
listening to more than half of the tracks they played.
Are there any DJs who there is a concnesus on that do spin IDM? Or am i
way off base with this post...
