I really like Dan's tracks too, unfortunatly the only stuff i got of him are the two tracks on 'Panic In Detroit'. I just found an interview with Dan in an old issue of the Dutch magazine 'Bassic Groove' (february 1993). Some interesting things: "I live in Kent, a suburb of Ohio. It usually takes me 3 1/2 hours to drive to Detroit (about 195 miles away)". "Besides making music i also run 'Metamorphic' and work a part-time job in a photo lab. As far as hobbies i am interested in astronomy and hiking in the woods and just observing our universe". "I took piano lessons for about five years when i was young, but i quit because i hated always having to practise. I got back into it as a DJ in some hip hop crews. Then when house came out i knew i had to be part of it. Choosing a musical influence is difficult because i listen to so many different artists of different styles. I am more directly influenced by what goes on in the world and other worlds around us". "I have to say that my favourite DJ so far is Derrick may. I saw him spin in Detroit at the Majestic. The way he worked the crowd was brilliant and his skill as a mixer blew me away. The best record store i have been to is called Record Time in Detroit". "Some of the music mags that i read are Street Sound, Mixmag, Global techno Power, DJ and Underground news". "I started Metamorphic records late in 1992. I started it because i wanted to be able to release new music and i wanted as much control over the process as possible. The main purpose to Metamorphic records is to present the world with music that is innovative and unique and genuine". "There will be other artists on Metamorphic. I am currently negotiating with an artist from Detroit who i cannot reveal right now, but you know him and his tracks for Metamorphic are mesmerizing". "The only work with Sinewave was the 'Third From The Sun' EP and the 'Biosphere' record". "The Detroit scene is looking good nowadays, especially with labels like Planet E putting out some of the best music in the States". "In the UK, ART and Blackdog are are just putting out absolutely mind-blowing music. It is wonderful to see such innovative sounds coming out of England. I would have to say that 'Philosophy Of Sound And Machine' 1.1 and 1.2 are two of the best records i have ever heard". "Right now i am preparing the next Metamorphic release entitled 'Origins EP' by Planetary, due out in mid-march. Also coming out is a record i did on Peacefrog records in the UK. It is called 'Tales From The Second Moon EP'. Look for it soon!". "I wished i lived in a place called the 'Netherlands'. It sounds like a place where a lot of interesting things go on".
