Yes! I was just making a drum and bass style dub tape, full of the King
himself! You want intelligent dance music, well here it is: 70s reggae cuts
remixed live by analog genius, skunkin' it for da rude boy in ya.. It is the
same as the King Tubby double pack.. Oh how I worship that man!!!
As for the IDM discussion, I guess I may come off like a jerk to you
guys, but I guess I come from another school... As for my current "IDM"
favorites, I think Dan Curtin is a genius.. I've gotten some interesting
tracs from Bunker.. Dj White Delight@Utrax keeps blowing me away.. I think the
new Drexciya is absolutely bugged!.. I'm still listening to Shh/Peaceful by
Miles Davis several times a week.. I'm diggin' the Beautyon Lp on Irdial disc..
I think the last Teste and Perceptrons records got slept on big time.. etc....
As for kids buying techno on CD, I think I'd have to say that most everything
that I really cherish came out on vinyl only.. I'm not dissin' CDs, but I'd
have to say that you're really comprising your options buying CDs..
P.S. I'm in the middle of making a Jungle/Dub tape.. It's all
about whether it makes you feel good, not what's deemed acceptable..
