I know, I'm nitpicking, this is an admittedly minor case of things I see
on other lists where, for some inexplicable reason, someone will post a
three screenful message of nothing but quotes and then add one line of
comment--as though the rest of us just joined the list and needed catching
up. Again no flames, just bandwidth saving...which brings me to this bit
of rumour I picked up: I heard from a friend who works at a
telecommunications company laying fiber optics from LA to SF that the US
gov't's subsidy of the Internet ends in 1995. Vrai ou faux?
