OK that article Fluid posted had a bit about that kid Daniel Pemberton. Well
that's the kid I was telling you about a few months ago. He's signed to R&S
and his equipment was bought by his parents, so they must be quite rich.
Anyway I haven't heard any of his stuff but Morris is blown away by it, as is
everyone else, it would seem. He writes reviews for that Mindfood fanzine as
well and is extremely well-received by the "ambient mafia" here. Funny thing
is, he's only 16 but most clubs etc are over-18s only and he still manages to
get let in! (He gets let in everywhere for free).
So by the end of the year you'll all be raving about his album while I'll be
a bitter and twisted old man nursing a Scotch and telling anyone who'll listen
how close I came... :)
PS Chantale played a crap ambient set at Megatripolis last night! (gotta be s
said)
