I guess I have to write my own little review about u-ziq's new 12"...
u-ziq - "PHI*1700 (u/v)" 12" R&S

1. Phi*1700 (u/v)
This is almost exactly the same as the one on "Tango 'N Vectif", it
only lasts a bit longer. Nothing really new is added, it's only
streched a bit.
2. Glink
Much plink-plonk sounds in a childish (i.e. Casio) funky way with a
harsh rhythm. Kinda like the freaky things from Herby Hancock.
Weird stuff.
3. Paco
Sounds like some Caustic Window stuff. Only much better. Can't explain
why though..
4. Xolbe II
This is not mad. This is idiocy. It starts with soft noise. It sounds
like a badly tuned radio, or like someone's using a vacuumcleaner
in another room. You hear this sound the whole song as the background.
The first couple of turns it gave me a bleedin' headache, and I figured
I wouldn't play this song too often. I like noise-music, but this is
ridiculous. This hurts (I said whining like a child:-) ...
However! Everything else in the song is mighty beautiful!!! Something like
'Tha', it's got a really cool slow flow of melodies en beats. It sounds
a bit sad... I love it!!
I just don't dig this noise-bit. I don't know... maybe it's just me.
