I`ve just sifted through three weeks of idm stuff, the shoegazing, the
april fool scams, the dairy products, 2 issues of IDM times... I`ve been
here for about an hour! I guess I should have unsubscribed over Easter, eh?
So it`s a while since I`ve been on the list. What`s been happening? well...
I went to San Francisco. We flew to LA and drove up, nice drive, arrived in
SF on Wednesday. Visited Gaia Mantra (wicked shop there!) on Thursday and
was dragged home by my family on Friday. Sorry I couldn`t go anywhere while
I was there, I had to look after my little brother all the time, but if that
Morris gig was 21+ (you have some stupid laws) I couldn`t have got in anyway.
Morris had a wicked time in the States too. He reckons he could see himself
moving over there one day. Me, SF is pretty cool but I couldn`t leave
London, knowwhutumsayin`????
UK goings on are like this: Megatripolis are starting an ambient club at
Heaven, Sundays 2pm-2am, about 2 quid to get in. Starts on the 24th, Morris
playing a 6-hour set, me (hopefully) playing a 2-hour set as I`m rapidly
becoming Megatripolis` Mr Ambient now that Morris is so busy jet-setting
around the world. Another thing that`s looking promising is an ambient do on
the beach at St Austell, Cornwall at the end of May, with Aphex twin,
Morris, Telepathinc Fish et al... I might try to get on that as well but
it`s unlikely...
Wicked records are "Jazz is the Teacher" and "Quadrant", plus the Pharcyde
album and this Space tape I`m chilling out to right now.
Kinetic Illusion is getting wierd now... recorded a version of that disco
classic "Freak Out" the other day. Anyway I must be Public Enemy no 1 cos I
still haven`t sent Cosmic Strings tapes to Will-E, Qris or Scott (btw Scott,
I drove through Monterey and went to the Aquarium). That`s because I left
the tapes at university and went home to Basingstoke for the last 3 weeks...

Look out for a Cosmic Strings EP or maybe a full trip-out hippy album from
Megatripolis` label, at about the same time as the Terence McKenna LP on the
same label!
