Due to the obvious need for a moderated, reviews-only mailing
list counterpart to the IDM list, idm-reviews has been created. Chris
Hilker has volunteered to be the moderator, and I think it would be
interesting if people took turns doing it...
Anyways, this is how it will work: Chris (or the current
moderator) will stay on the IDM list and watch for any reviews that
come by. He will select the ones he feels are worth passing along
(which should be most of them, as long as some thought is put into
them) and send them to the idm-reviews mailing list daily or weekly
depending on the volume and his time.
So, send your reviews as normal to the idm list. Needless to
say, you don't have to be on both idm-reviews and idm. If you are
only on idm-reviews and wish to post a review, still send it to
idm@techno.stanford.edu - it'll get forwarded to Fluid and myself, and
we'll pass it along to the rest of idm, and hence, to idm-reviews.
Mail sent to idm-reviews from someone other than Chris Hilker will
also get forwarded to Fluid and myself.
To remove yourself from idm and add yourself to idm-reviews,
send the following commands to majordomo@techno.stanford.edu
unsubscribe idm
subscribe idm-reviews
And remember to do it from the account you receive idm mail at.
