On Mar 21, 9:25am, you proclaimed: } 2-in light of the recent slagging off of djax latest cd comp } i think i need to add this. . .or should i say, bag this ;) } DJ Duo had this thing slung over his shoulder. . . . } ACID JUNKIES Paranoid Experience (djax-up-beats 192) } Killer two pack of megaphat (ph) acid which comes in a djax bag } with a fat yellow smiley face on it. . .the corker track on here } is a *whole side* track titled. . . } 303 VS. 101 (BATTLE AT HIGH SPEED ON THE INTERGALACTIC HIGHWAY) I was supremely unimpressed by this - I mean, I can really get into just-909-and-303 if it's done well, but the composition really sounded exactly like the sounds my one and only instrument, the 303, makes when I randomly press buttons on it (only, I sometimes erase patterns that don't turn out sounding good). I've heard good acid junkies stuff, but this definitely wasn't part of it. Oh damn, I just realized I violated my own rule, which was never post a negative review to IDM since they are a lot less helpful then positive reviews. Okay, um... The Orbital Peel Sessions truely are astounding. Get them, even though the tracks will come out on Diversions in a while. I had the stereo at Wired cranked with this, and now the editor wants to do a story on them :) } 3-Finally. . .There's a bloke from America that I've dubbed } the Richard James of House. . . Todd Terry. . .not only does } this kid pound out the releases. . .they are full of excellent } production and way out groundbreaking ideas. . . } his style of house is very *old school* (he made the damn school!) } packed with POP and 808's. . .but deep and house nonetheless } his shit is really fun, tons of breakdowns and wickedness. . I wish I could find his "Acid Crash" on CD somewhere, that song is mindblowing. Too bad only his wailing diva-esque stuff ever got popular. Brian
