The reason I mentioned Ozrics is that eat static are 2 of the chaps
from the Ozrics. The Ozrics have been around much longer and their stuff
is usually easy to find / polular in the right circles. The music is
different though; Ozrics play a unique mixture of musical styles, mostly
instrumental with heavy influence from rock, dub, folky stuff, trippy
electronic noises etc. have heard it referred to as 'crusty space rock'!
They have to be heard.. (my favorite lp. by them is 'strangitude')...
still they might not be up your alley.. [someone else here must have heard
of them!].
Anyway.. I thought you would easily be able to find Ozrics stuff
in shops (not dance specialist shops), and you could then copy down the
address for dovetail records, and order the alien ep. Since you
obviously don't know what i'm talking about, I can find the addr. for
you if you want. Eat Static have done 3EPs before the Abduction lp,
then there was the 'brain' 12" - very good, and the Gulf breeze rmx
by Sasha ( ok). So... if you really want it you will be able to order
it from here (will cost 4 pounds + post i should think).
As I said above the 2nd alien ep (alien records is one of the
chaps from eat static) is Excellent!
