last post i referred in our latest purchases to a 'new' robert leiner 12",
but i was mistaken i twas 'aedena cycle' ep <the travellers dream> on
apollo...guessing from the names on the label :kolbj0rn, svein, torbj0rn,
and gaute, i would have to gather these blokes are of northern european
descent....this ep is excellent, very apollo(replete w/ dreamy voice
sample)....unobtrusive piercing pppoints of sound(if that makes any
sense).....i've seen several above par releases coming out on this label:
makes me wish i had bought that apllo compilation last summer.
There's spacey, there's earthy, and then there's those in the fluid realm:
sequential's 'lost in the sea' is brilliant imho (i even like the tour
guide comments)...i really get off on water and need more tracks w/ that in
mind...liquescent bubble music. Dreamfish, flying high, did it for me but
i want more, serious fluid electronic music, so coagulated it can clog your
ear passages...any suggestions?
ANyone heard these:
quoted 1 line Banco de Gaia-Maya-Planet Dog records (double LP)>Banco de Gaia-Maya-Planet Dog records (double LP)
after Eat Static's 'abductions' , and the Feed Your Head comp., i
discovered one fine label....
quoted 1 line Coaster-Mantrac-Plink Plonk>Coaster-Mantrac-Plink Plonkquoted 1 line Syncrotron Ep-Steinmeir and Cramer-Frankfurt Beat records (12")>Syncrotron Ep-Steinmeir and Cramer-Frankfurt Beat records (12")
thinking of purchasing some newbies.....
is Plink Plonk made up of someone from the SHAMEN?
another question (not really sure if this is idm) a friend wanted me to ask
if *ANYONE* knows of a copy of one dove's 'white love' (i think that's the
name) it must be the psychedelic masturbation remix (got me? %) ), he says,
and he's willing to pay, pay, *pay*...supposedly there was a small run of
these??????
and to the guy who asked whether it was the song itself or the sounds in
the song that were the most important.....definitely the sounds...that's
the way i've always listened to music, even in my guitar rockin' days it
was the SOUND of that squelching instrument that drew me...... it is the
artists ability to juxtapose certain sounds together that keep me
listening, certain tones or frequencies just strike me( ie that watery
sound in 'lost in the sea')...this will eventually leads back to the dead
emotive thread. Songs as a whole mean nothing to me.....there is always
music going off in my head so everything's continuously mixed, what i hear
and what you hear are completely different.....
......
just my 2 karma pts
