I think the term IDM applies more to our own intelligence for listening
to this type of music as opposed to Debbie Gibson...or Those damn new
kids...:)
I think also those who think or have the capacity to think are afr more
likely to have the ability to imagine bigger and greater things...i mean
if you cant think...what would be on your mind other than that recurring
feeling that means youre hungry...or is it the "i need to sit on that
porcelain thing in that little room with the tiles and tub..."-feeling...
imagination is a completely mental process...it is all about thoght
patterns...the thinking person is the creative imaginative person...all
else is memorization and instinct...
now if you said that dancing was an instinct...an instinct that is an
extension of the instinct that is music...you might be right...but i
would have to argue that for if it were instinct wed all dance like
Micheal Jackson...(but keep our hands to ourselves)...and compose like
Mozart...
neither are instinct but both come from slight training and
observation...and massive amounts of imagination and thought.
i will concede that to do drugs is ones own individual choice...and to
accompany this music with drugs is also...but the problem...which wasnt
that big until we escalated the matter...that i had was the seeming
necessity with the music itself's encouragement of the listener to also
do drugs...
if it is to be truly left to the individual...why then should it
necessarily be condoned in public and labelled "cool"...
if its is indeed the cool thing to do...why does it need so much hype?
the music would be the same without it...
thats all i have to say right now...but im sure ill think of something later.
later.
