You didn't quote me correctly. I said that maybe the 'intelligent techno'
*wave* had reached its peak. It's not really new and fresh anymore. Of course
that won't stop young techno gods from making great 'intelligent' records.
But the attitude isn't new.

Sure, I've heard the jazzy techno, and even though it's good, I keep thinking
808 State and Guru Josh when I hear it. I want something completely different.
The reasons why I've been buying "rock" records (hmm) recently are: 1) they
are completely different from idm, 2) I've never bought any "rock" records
before so I think it's interesting to explore the genre.
That's my diary entry for today.
